  24.             The NMFECC provides state of the art computational resources
  25.             including three Cray Supercomputers - a Cray XMP-22, and two
  26.             Cray-2s with 512 Mega-Bytes and 1 Giga-Byte of main  memory,
  27.             respectively.   All  three  Crays  use  the  CTSS time-share
  28.             Operating System. This system also currently  provides  over
  29.             150  UNIX  utilities.   The  Center operates 24 hours a day,
  30.             seven days a week.

  32.             Archival storage includes an on-line  fully  automated  mag-
  33.             netic  tape  cartridge  storage  system  with a total of 3.6
  34.             Tera-bytes of capacity.
  35.  
  36.             An on-line information retrieval system is provided,  offer-
  37.             ing over 23,000 pages of documentation on use of the Center.
  38.             Printed hardcopy of all information is also available to all
  39.             users.   The  BUFFER  is  published as a monthly newsletter.
  40.             Short notes in the form of printed summaries are  available.
  41.             Electronic  bulletin  boards  are  available for information
  42.             about specialized topic areas.   A  ``NEWS''  capability  is
  43.             provided  for daily or short term information.  Several con-
  44.             sultants are also available during normal working hours  for
  45.             individual help.
